Lifting weights can actually help you loose weight! Say what?! It is true! Lifting weights, builds muscle and when you have muscle on your side it is working to help decrease fat even when you are not lifting! This doesn’t mean you should start lifting super heavy weights today but I do encourage you to lift weights if you’ve been okay’d to do so by your medical pro.
Use weights in your workouts!
Lifting weights correctly can also help with building stronger bones and better posture which can help with joint pain in some cases! We are all in need of help with that as we age. Lifting has also been proven to lift your mood (no pun intended! ;) ) and give you more energy.
