Once I realized my journey was going down a deep dark path of inflammation (this is your body way of telling you something is not right, don’t ignore it!), dis-ease (leading to disease), and loads of medications I started searching! This lead me to an amazing Dietician. She ran several test and we discovered I had super high estrogen and my testosterone was in the tanker. There were years of dealing with endometriosis that finally led to a hysterectomy at 31. I had been asking for hormonal test for YEARS when I went in for my yearly gynecology appointment. I was always told, “these test don’t show anything, let’s get you on the pill”. Each time I refused. I know that deep in my gut I knew things were very wacky in there but without proof I didn’t know what the next step was. So, when I heard my results I was not surprised. We jumped on this and started evening out my hormones, after a few months I began to feel what I could only think was somewhat “normal”.
We also discovered I had MANY parasites and thinking back over my past realized this all most likely started with a repetitive high mold exposure that weakened my 5 year old body. Yep, that is when my (excuse my language) “shit storm” started. Asthma, allergies and exhaustion began. A rushed trip to the emergency room while at my grandparents house, I remember lying across my grandmothers lap in the back seat of their light blue Ford Taurus, she was stroking my head and telling me everything would be okay. My lips were blue, I was gasping for air and terrified.

Years of steroids, antibiotics, allergy shots, scary asthma attacks, seasonal allergies, environmental allergies and food allergies out the wazoo all could be traced back to parasites and mold. I started a strict restrictive diet to calm my gut and added in digestive enzymes. Oh yeah, did I mention that I also had my gallbladder removed during that 31st year. I was never told, hey, you might have trouble digesting food now, you should probably lean on some enzymes when you eat to help your gut out. These were a tremendous help! My gut was getting in line, energy was getting better, inflammation was going down. My path was becoming clearer and the roadblocks were decreasing.
Join me next week for the next chapter in my journey!
XOXO, H2
